Our Approach to Dental Emergencies

We keep spots available during regular practice hours, so we can see emergency cases on the same day. Dr Ash (Dentist) will do her best to complete whatever treatment is necessary that day—whether it’s an extraction, root canal, filling or other necessary procedure. If any treatment requires a referral to a specialist, we will write the referral and help you get in to see the specialist as soon as possible. There is no additional fee for emergency care during regular hours.

Of course, many dental emergencies take place after regular business hours. We handle after-hours emergencies by appointment only, and there is an additional fee for this service. Typically, after-hours care is reserved for serious dental emergencies, such as a trauma, when it’s important to receive care urgently. As with other emergencies, we will make necessary referrals to specialists and ensure that you get care as soon as possible.

Thorough Care

When you seek our care for a dental emergency, we will do a thorough examination to evaluate the problem, using our advanced diagnostic tools. We’ll explain what we find and present our plan for care, so you understand what’s going on, as well as your options for treatment. Once we know what the problem is and what we have to do to correct it, we’ll let you know how much it will cost.

Any treatment will be done under local anaesthetic, and we will prescribe pain relief if necessary for aftercare. We can also arrange medical certificates if your situation requires you to be off work.
